We understand the significance of accommodating your individuality while simultaneously addressing your visual needs. Our options are readily accessible, providing you with the freedom to select the best fit for you and your prescription.

Reduce lens thickness, hi-index 1.61 material is achieved by using different lens materials. Depending on your frame and prescription requirements it can be made using cr39 or poly-carbonate lens material. We use polycarbonate on semi-rimless and rimless frames to keep the integrity of the lens high.

  • What lenses do 4 Eyes Optical use?
    We proudly use Australian-made lenses by Shamir Australia. In some instances, we use Essilor Australia when the combination of someone's order differs from the normal requirements. We proudly supply these lenses at the best possible prices. We feel that everyone is entitled to quality, affordable eyewear. Making eyewear accessible for everyone!
  • What is the ordering process with 4 Eyes Optical?
    Once we receive an order from you via our website, email, or phone, you will be sent our address details. You send your frame to us. Once we receive the frames, we take all the necessary measurements to ensure that your lenses are ordered correctly. Once the lenses are ground, they are sent back to us for fitting. Once fitted, we send your glasses back to you with quality Australian-made lenses in them!
  • How long does it take to get my glasses back from 4 Eyes Optical?
    This depends on your order, prescription requirements, and how quickly you send your glasses to us. For standard Single-Vision, Reading, or Distance lenses, you will get them back within 7 working days. For complex Multi-Focal Lenses (Reading, Intermediate and Distance fields of vision) you will receive them within the 7-12 working day time frames. You will be kept up to date where possible.
  • How do I get my glasses to 4 Eyes Optical and how do I get them back from 4 Eyes Optical?
    To keep our prices as low as possible, we request that you pay the shipping to get your glasses to us. During your order checkout, you will be asked to pay a minimum fee of $11.00 to get your glasses sent back to you via AusPost express post. There are no offshore fitting, or products, so your glasses will be handled with care by our own postal system, once they leave our car in Tropical North Queensland.
  • What lens coatings does 4 Eyes Optical offer?
    We offer Hard/Anti-Scratch as standard on all our lenses for FREE! - You can add Anti-glare Coating or Blue Blocker Coating instead. All coatings/lenses come from Shamir Australia. We can also access specialty coatings from Essilor Australia. Contact us for more information. You can choose any of these options for your lenses, once you add lenses to your cart.
  • What Transition options do 4 Eyes Optical offer?
    We offer the new and improved Gen S Coating by Transition. These are available in all colours. We offer Transitions XtrActive and Transition XtrActive Polarised options. We can source other options. Please contact us for more information. You can choose any of these options for your lenses, once you add lenses to your cart.
  • What sunglass options does 4 Eyes Optical offer?
    We offer Polarised sunglass option. This cuts out both visible and reflective light. Our laminated tint is applied to the inside of two lenses before they are ground to your prescription. This is the premium option. (Cheaper quality Polarised lenses have the laminate on the outside of the lenses, making them susceptible to scratching). We also offer a Dye tint sunglass option. This cuts out visible light. You can also add a Mirror Coating to either of these options. This makes your lenses highly reflective.
